When I travel, I like to look up places I want to go, the costs, hours, facts about the history, maps of cities and I save it all as PDFs on my phone in case there is no WiFi. People often save webpages but often find themselves with international cellular roaming fees or not having access at all. Even now that my oldest is 21 years old and my youngest is 15, I still send them files on all of the points of interests for the places we are going regardless to whether we will have time or money to visit those places. Researching and sharing this information is a great learning opportunity for all of us and it gives us things to discuss.
Obviously having the local maps and the hours of the places we want to visit saves us time and frustration but it also helps ensure we don’t waste precious energy running around lost or going somewhere only to find it’s closed.
Illness, low energy, and accessibility concerns while traveling means preparation is your best friend. Research, research, research.
